Villa Mamas, in the Saar district of Bahrain, opened in 2012 as an extension of Roaya's Home. Reminiscent of a childhood spent on her family’s farms and in the kitchen with her mother and grandmother, Roaya’s cooking uses local, seasonal ingredients as the starting point for new and traditional dishes from Bahrain and Persia, and those inspired by her travels through the world.
Opened in 2017, Mama's Gourmet is our larder shop and café. Over the years, Roaya has carefully fostered close relationships with famers in Bahrain to ensure Villa Mamas has the finest produce and to enrich the local community. Fresh, seasonal produce chosen daily from local farmers, homemade jams, chutneys and pickles and Roaya’s favourite spices and sauces and hand-crafted baskets: everything you need to be inspired in the kitchen.
Our kitchen on wheels, VM1856 is in your neighbourhood. One of the first food trucks in Bahrain, our converted school bus brings Mama’s home cooking to events throughout Bahrain, markets and celebrations or on your local street corner.
